Gabriel’ is a renowned brand synonymous with Shock Absorbers in India having established a significant presence across all automotive customer segments: the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), Replacement market and Exports. Over the last fifty years, Gabriel India has earned the reputation of being a provider of innovative and proprietary products and solutions that have become the company’s hallmark. The history of Gabriel dates back to 1961, when Mr Deep C Anand as an enterprising young man of 27 years launched his very first business venture - Gabriel India, the flagship company of Anand - in collaboration with Maremont Corporation (now Gabriel Ride Control Products of ArvinMeritor Inc, USA.,) for the manufacture of shock absorbers at Mulund, Mumbai.

Today, Gabriel has a Technical Collaboration with KYB Corporation, Japan, and KYBSE, Spain. KYB Corp., established in 1919, is a renowned manufacturer of Ride Control products in Japan, supplying to well known vehicle manufacturers globally. Gabriel also has a Technical Collaboration with Yamaha Motor Hydraulic Systems, Japan, a 100% subsidiary of Yamaha Motors, Japan, specializing in the manufacture and sale of shock absorbing components for Two Wheeler applications.
